How long have you been training with us?
1.5 ish years
Were you always an exerciser? What did you do for your fitness before signing up with FFG?
I have always tried to get onto an exercise regime – dance, yoga, pilates, at home work out videos, gym memberships that would go to waste…
What made you sign up for a FFG Bootcamp and the 28 Day Challenge?
I signed up for FFG early risers because I was too busy to fit any exercise into my day and it was across the street from home!
For the 28 Day challenge…well, despite exercise, I got lazy with my food and ate take out all the time/drank lots of wine and needed to get back into my pants.
How have the programs changed your life?
I’m definitely the most fit I’ve ever been.
(Let’s say I NEVER ran before FFG and stuck to yoga and pilates based workouts)
And I’ve now changed my diet and am eating about 85% on the 28 day plan as well as meal planning/cooking most of my own food.
…it feels great energy wise and I’m back into all my clothes!
What do you do when you are not Bootcamping?
Performing strange music, running an arts organization or teaching piano
What’s your major fitness goal right now?
Learning to enjoy running…
What about coming to Bootcamp makes you jump out of bed at 5am singing the Hills Are Alive with the Sound of Music? Or what did you love about the 28 Day Challenge?
The social aspect for both – love the East end crew and the online group was pretty great (and often hilarious) for the 28 day challenge
What exercise or drill makes you cower under your bed covers and pretend you don’t hear your alarm?
Boxing. Would rather do a whole class of Burpees.

Best/funniest bootcamp/ Challenge moment?
Having celebratory beers after the Alpha Obstacle course. But honestly, it was pretty cool that Trevor kept pace with me for the entire 6K of that race even though I was going about as fast as a turtle!
Trevor is (deservedly) a much-loved trainer (and let’s face it – he’s seriously working that tire-overhead-look in this picture).
What advice would you give someone who is just starting out with us or just thinking about it?
Don’t be intimidated by 6 am workouts..they are pretty great way to start the day once you get used to it
What is the accomplishment or personal milestone you are most proud of?
Running the Alpha Course last July – never in my life thought I would do something like that
